01What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) by the website you are visiting or by a third party. It stores information for a limited time: preferences, login status, audience measurement, and so on.
This policy covers cookies in the strict sense as well as equivalent technologies for storing or accessing information on your device (browser local storage, pixels, session identifiers), referred to together as "trackers".
02Legal framework
The storing and reading of trackers on your device is governed by:
- Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (the "ePrivacy Directive"), transposed in Bulgaria by Article 4a of the Electronic Communications Act (Закон за електронните съобщения) and, in France, by Article 82 of the Informatique et Libertés Act;
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the "GDPR"), where trackers make it possible to process personal data;
- the guidelines and recommendations of supervisory authorities, in particular the CNIL for visitors located in France.
Under these texts, only trackers that are strictly necessary to provide the service you request are exempt from consent. All others are only set after your free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent, which you can withdraw as easily as you gave it.
03Categories of trackers
| Category | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Operation of the Site, security, remembering your cookie choices. | Not required (exempt) — always active |
| Analytics | Audience statistics to understand how the Site is used and improve it. | Required, unless the tool is configured to meet the exemption conditions set by the CNIL |
| Marketing and third-party content | Content embedded from third-party services (videos, online appointment booking) and measurement of the effectiveness of our communications. | Required |
04Trackers used on the site
As of the date of this policy, the Site uses the following trackers:
| Name | Issuer | Purpose | Lifetime | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cv_consent (cookie) | CaptureValue.ai | Remembers your cookie choices so that you are not asked again on every visit. | 6 months | Strictly necessary |
cv_consent (local storage) | CaptureValue.ai | Backup copy of your choices, used when the browser does not accept cookies. Expiry is checked on reading. | 6 months | Strictly necessary |
Analytics: no audience-measurement tool is deployed at present. If we add one, it will be listed here with its lifetime and will only be activated with your consent (or configured to benefit from the consent exemption provided for by the CNIL).
Marketing and third-party content: no tracker in this category is deployed at present. Any third-party content embedded in the future (online appointment booking, videos) would only load after your consent.
This list is updated whenever the Site changes; the corresponding categories are presented to you in the banner and the preferences panel.
05Managing your choices
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept, decline or customise the trackers subject to consent. Declining is as easy as accepting, and declining does not prevent you from browsing the Site. Your choice is kept for 6 months, after which you will be asked again.
You can change your preferences at any time:
The "Manage cookies" link is also available in the footer of every page of the Site. Withdrawing a previously given consent reloads the page so that the trackers concerned stop working immediately.
06Configuring your browser
You can also configure your browser to refuse or delete cookies. The settings vary from one browser to another:
Blocking all cookies may prevent your choices from being remembered and, on other websites, may degrade some features.
07Third-party resources (typefaces)
The Site's typefaces (Geist, Geist Mono, Instrument Serif) are loaded from Google's servers (Google Fonts). This service sets no cookies, but loading the fonts involves transmitting your IP address to Google LLC. The conditions of this transfer are described in our privacy policy.
08Updates to this policy
This policy may be amended at any time, in particular when a tracker is added or removed. If a new purpose subject to consent is added, your consent will be requested again through the banner. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
